Our journey to one of the remote ancients place Koh Ker temple which took us up to the north-west of Siem Reap, approximately 3 and a half hour drive. The temple is situated within Preah Vihear province, Siem Reap's boarder and I must say its astonished to get a closer look at this forgotten temple or the "Cambodia Pyramid" said the local.
We're arrived at around 12:40pm, the trees and the jungle somewhat protecting us from the summer heat, the breeze and the environment is what made this temple one of my favorite. Koh Ker temple at its height is about 35 meters and the ground base of the square building is approximately 240 meters (All four side). Historian said Koh Ker the Cambodia Pyramid was constructed for or by the Jayavarman IV (Khmer King) and started during the 900 AD, the resembling of the temple can be familiarize to Baksey Chamkrong in Angkor.
